Diet
Giraffes are herbivores. This means they eat leaves. They do not eat meat.
Giraffes love to eat from acacia trees. If there is no waterhole nearby they can go a long time without drinking because there is water in the leaves.
Giraffes bend down and spread their legs wide to drink. This means they cannot get up fast if there is danger. So they go to the waterhole together and take turns watching for danger.
Crocodiles and lions are dangerous because they hunt animals like giraffes for food.
